This is a list of the services that we provide to pipework.
There are three different types of insulation that can be applied to pipework: H&V, Phenolic and Armaflex
Each of which have their benefits, majority of the time we use Phenolic Section, this is due to the fact that is hard wearing and allows for a smaller thickness due to its density.
Armaflex is usually used in places where it would be hard to put the normal thickness of insulation on the pipework (boxings), this is because it is slightly thinner and easier to manipulate.
Insulation
Weather Protection
This method of pipework/insulation protection is used mainly in open conditions, where the elements can easily come into contact with the pipework. It is also a method we use when pipework is to be buried underground. We use a rubber type material known as PIB, it is strong and water tight, making it ideal for open environments.
Trace Heating
This is a method that is used to ensure that pipework that will be exposed to freezing temperatures does not freeze. This is done by running an electrical cable along the bottom of the pipework, this cable is connected to a device know as a Frost Stat.

When the Frost Stat reads that the area has dropped below a certain temperature it runs an electrical charge through the cable, therefore causing the cable to warm up, which in turn warms the pipe ensuring that the pipe does not reach freezing temperatures.

Finishes
There are three different types of finishes that we supply, each having different purposes.

There is the basic foil faced finish, there is where the insulation is left the way it is, this is usually used in areas where the pipework is unseen (above ceilings, in plant rooms/boiler rooms). There is also Isogenopak, this is rigid grey plastic covering that is attached over the insulation, this gives it protection and an impressive finish, this is used where the pipework will be on show. And finally there is Aluminium Cladding, this is a very strong and resistant covering that goes over the insulation, this finish is classically used in plant rooms/ boiler rooms, Isogenopak is quickly becoming the replacement for Aluminium Cladding due to its cost affectivity and overall finish.
