This is a list of the insulation products that we use on Tanks and Vessels.
Wired Mats are medium density, non-combustible rock mineral wool mats. They are supplied with galvanised wire mesh on one side which is stitched with galvanised steel wire. The mesh makes the wired mat a firm, but flexible insulation mattress, capable of withstanding high operating temperatures. For thermal and acoustic insulation of large process equipment such as vessels and boilers. Wired mat is particularly suitable for wrapping curved surfaces or cutting to fit over irregular shapes.
Advantages
•Easy to handle and install
•Resilient, strong and flexible
•Excellent acoustic properties
•Non-combustible
•Suitable for high temperatures
•Chemically inert
Fire
Classified as non-combustible to Euroclass A1 in accordance with BS 476–4 and ISO 1182.
Thermal & Acoustic Insulation Work, Sheet Metal Work, Removable Insulation Covers & Electric Trace Heating.
Wire Mat
Crimp Wrap
A flexible glass mineral wool roll, designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation for ductwork, tanks and large diameter pipes. The increased compression resistance of this product makes it ideal for use at all levels, inside or outside a building with subsequent covering.
Advantages
• Meets all UK thermal building regulations and offers energy savings
• Aluminium foil facing give inherent vapour barrier helping prevent moisture reaching the duct
• Performance will not deteriorate over time - long product life, no ageing of product
Fire
Base material Euroclass A2 fire rating; class O compliance
H&V Slab
H&V Slab is suitable for use with all types of rectangular Tanks. It is also suitable where an extra firm substrate is required for subsequent coverings.
Advantages
• Completely fire safe – totally non-combustible.
• Will not absorb moisture.
• Durable- not easily damaged in storage, during transport or
on site when installing.
• Long product life – will not age.
• Environmentally safe – made from naturally occurring minerals.
• Chemically inert – approximate pH value of 7.
Fire
The base mineral wool of H&V products has a Euroclass A1 fire rating when classified in accordance with BS EN 13501 - 1. Additionally, the factory-applied aluminium foil facing meets the highest standards required by BS476:Part 6 'Fire Propagation', and BS476:Part 7 'Surface Spread of Flame'. The foil facing is therefore rated 'Class O' to the Building Regulations.
